I was thinking you lived or worked around there somewhere. It seems like its pretty close to a lot of things where its located.

The Detroit area is a lot easier to get around than most people think. Most are shocked when I tell them it only takes mde about 35 mintues to get to work.

You don't take 898 then do ya? Lol. I was kinda wondering who might be close by,just incase the sho wants to be stubborn. It acts like it wants a crank sensor...got a 214 code earlier, and noticed a hiccup earlier.

Some of these side roads are horrible.. New struts are in my future now.. Lol I hit one bump in the road so hard, my car started missing all the way to the hotel.. Lol didn't wanna bother to try and restart it if I was in the middle of an intersection..... I already know what my luck is like . I wonder if this is related to my intermittent 214 I think it was. Wonder if I need a new computer in my glove box.

This is why I my daily drivers are considered "expendable". You drive through Detroit on a daily basis, you have several options...

1. If you want a big payment, get an F150 or above. Expeditions and Navigators qualify. Pay up the ass for tires and gas and insurance.

2. If you want to save money, lease a small car. Owning a newer car makes no sense. Still expendable.

3. Pay for it and consider it expendable. Save on insurance.

4. Destroy the car you care about by subjecting it, daily, to the good people of Metro Detroit and their fine sense of Road Etiquette. :omgsho:

Lol at number four. Some aren't bad at all, but its just the fact that I don't know the right ways to go. Gps dissent gave a less *** hole button. I just destroyed what little bit of strut mount I had up front. Might fix that this weekend. And yea I did on one of my breaks, then I got too caught up working and forgot to call you back until it was getting dark. Lol

There are a few roads I'd recommend out here. Mound is tons better than Van **** for North South travel from 696 to about 16 mile. After 16 mile Van **** turns into expressway and is the preferred route. Mile roads go east west and most of them have names as well...

16 mile is called "Big Beaver" at i-75...it also just happens to be:
Exit 69 - Big Beaver.

Pfft, this is the only way to go. My diesel can get 24mpg hwy, if I don't drive like most Metro Detroiters . I get more respect in my truck and can see what's coming down the road better. But these crappy roads are what made me take my nice SHO off the road in the first place, and after I put it back on, guess what? needed new front struts and all new front bushings :shakehead

LoL... I found it cute how there were all sorts of "eleven mile frame and axle", type of shops... :) I will say tho, on the way home, I passed another 3 black SHO's.... weird. I saw the one guys mouth when I drove by say, "hey thats a SHO" when he pointed to his buddy.. lol Fun times. But yea, coilovers are going to be on my list for sure... soften that front end up a bit for trips like these.

I think I just need to tell the boss to send me places other than Detroit. lol I can go a lot of places in 3 hours.
