Is it supposed to have that break in it?
And do you push it all the way into the tranny housing or do you leave it further back on the intermediate shaft?

olympic said:That really isn't a seal, maybe for dirt but not for oil. The oil seal is in the trans housing. I think the groove in the shaft is where the oil seal contacts the shaft. So everything looks good to me. Just make sure everything turns freely.
