After reading on here about how many people have carbon build up when they pop the intake off i was a little scared to see what mine would look like at 103k miles. I got the intake off and to my surprise there is not one ounce of carbon build up in the runners or in the head itself. I grabbed me a flashlight and took a peek into the head to check out my valves and them babies are spotless too. My car must be running pretty good then eh? Its never been apart its whole life and runs tip top, no oil in the plug wells yet either. Maybe I got a good one?

Whats your thoughts?

Sounds like you got a very well maintained SHO. Wish I bought mine from someone who loved it as much as I do. I'm in the process of doing whatever I can to clean and maintain it before any mods go into it.

Hmm, that is a bit odd, considering that the SHO creates alot of blow-by.

It's good in one sense, but I would check the "PCV" line. It's located under the throttle body and runs into the valley of the motor to the oil seperator.
But OTOH, if this line had a leak or something there-like, you would/should have a vacuum leak.

I ditched my valve cover to throttle body hose. I capped it at the throttle body and got a brass male-male fitting and put a tiny breather filter on it.

My thought is a rebuilt motor was put in a few thousand miles ago.

While that is a good idea(and is how I run mine)... that is not the line I was referring to. (nor does this line pull a vacuum on the crankcase at part throttle)
