So, I'm on e30 and stock turbos are maxed for the most part and I'm not sure if I plan on going big turbos or not yet. Assuming I don't is there really any benefit outside of just some cooling? I'd be running a #4 nozzle no extra tuning for it just a lite spray.

I think it’s worth it, I’m pretty amazed how fast the intake temps drop when the methanol starts spraying. In theory it could help you build more booster quickly?

I plan on jumping to another style of intercooler soon (vertical instead of horizonal) which will flow a lot more but won't cool as well so the meth will help with that or at least that's the goal.

Fullboltons with meth Fullboltons no meth
Full bolt ons with meth and full bolt ons without on the say day. the intake temps with meth after a full pull is about 10 to 15* lower than ambient temps. once your to e30 the gains on meth aren't as beneficial. this is e30 and only 600 ML nozzle not tuned for meth just for cooling.

Worth it in every way possible. Only downside is running out.
Agreed!

I've consistently used meth, and from what I've seen over the years, the average gains in the 1/4 mile are a definitive .5 to .6 faster.

Consistently at that.

Add in the cooling benefits, as well as the cleaning, it's a no brainer.

But for sure, avoid running out. And if you do run out, just don't "lay into it" to cause for the system to call for its use.

I made it from my house, out to Carlisle for the National's one year, and back (13+ hour drive each way) on no meth. It wasn't fun, as I had to drive her "normally" as I was chasing down a leak prior to the event, and was waiting on backordered parts.

Meh, regardless, meth is by far.....

ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT.

on a 93 tune verses a 93 meth tune I run them back to back on a privet track day and the difference was .4. I haven't done it on the e30 tune at the track yet as I'm always with meth on there.

Well..... I'm sure that's not the ONLY REASON why you remove the entire back seat.

Winky wink

Ok ok ok, you got me. Stay tuned - I have a major new upgrade to the SHO I’m announce soon. Think weight reduction, luxury, and functionality. Should have results from the track this Friday with all the evidence to back up my claim.

I have been running meth, 80w/20m blend, since day one of my car. Back when she was stock, it helped a ton. You could feel the difference. Now days, with all my mods, it still brings my intake temps down (and I'm sure it's still cleaning my valves and such) but it doesn't make as much of a difference. My last time at the track, I was running the same time whether I was on meth or not... multiple times. I'm considering going to a 100% meth blend.
People are really understating the cleaning effects though. I wish I took pics of my TB when I bought the car compared to a month of meth. Thing went from carbon covered to new looking.

Could this modification be similar to the carpeted and sound deadoned aluminum back seat delete I made and currently have for sale in my 2015 SHO?

If you're long term deleting your seats, you might as well gut the rear doors too. No need for a interior panel or window motors, controls, etc etc. Could save some real weight.
