Wondering how long everyone thinks it would take me to take my engine out, without a hoist or a lift, and totally tear it down to replace all the wearable parts, bearings and such, and pistons, guides, -everything-. I figure one of these days I oughta just make it to where if it fails, its -gotta- be a structual failure of the block or heads. I'm just curious as always :nut:

With an ATX and no lift, here's your option, basically:

Drop the driveline with a jack, have about 4-5 people there to lift the nose of the car up in the air, support it with some 4x4 posts, etc., and slide the driveline out.

It's not fun, it's not easy, but it can be done.
