is it possible to replace a bearing without pulling the motor

I am wondering if i can simply pull the pan on the engine....without pulling the engine, and get to the bearing i need to and replace it this way. anyone got some help for me?

Id suggest first to use the search function of the forum. LOTS of info to be had in the archives of this forum.

Second, find a shop manual.

Been there. Done that. Here is my topic with a relatively detailed step-by-step procedure. The connecting rod bearings are a great $45 insurance policy for a long engine life.

BTW, RCM Automotive sells a kit(Bearings, oil pan gasket w/rtv, and oil pump pick up tube gasket) for this and I got mine for $67 shipped. :thumb:
