My tan leather seats works really nicely and are really confortable. And my black seats out of the parts car are in poor condition, but the leather is about perfect. The motors dosen't work and foam is all hardened.

I'd want to swap the leather from the black seats to the tan seat, both front seats.
Is it possible for me to do it ?

i don't see why not. i would just be really careful when removing the seat skins. i think if you would use a hair dryer to warm the leather before takinf the skins off and putting them on that would help out.

My experience is that its a real pain - the leather doesn't want to come off around the bolsters, and you need about 5 hands to pull on all the various areas at once. Its not complicated, but its not easy - be patient!

Thanks! I'll try to remove the tan one first, since it's torn up and I don't care about it. I'll be installing heated seats too :sun:, front and rear.

Assuming they are both gen II seats. (g1 bolsters are different) It is very possible, and really not all that difficult. You should get some hog ring pliers, and some hog-rings. If you have ANY questions don't hesitate to ask. I've been around the sho seats a few times :)

Oh, be gentle with the seam where the side bolster meets the center insert of the seat. On old covers that is a very tender spot.

Let all of the air out of the bolster system, so they are retracted as far as you can get them. Then, you slide the whole thing up off the top of the seat back. In my experience, that is the hard part - getting the cover off the bolsters without tearing open a seam.

You don't really have to take the seats apart at all, although some would likely prefer to have the back separated from the bottom when doing this.

Are you going to try to make it look OEM? I'd like to see how you mount the switches as your project moves along. My seats need to be recovered and I was thinking about adding a heated setup as well.
