Iowa Meeting

Sometime later this spring or summer, I will try and have an Iowa SHO meeting organized. I am open to suggestions on events like Autocrosses with the Mustang guys or a dyno day in Des Moines or just meeting up and talking cars. The event will likely be in the Des Moines area, but we are flexibly and the Mustang guys always welcome us at their events.

Only has suspension mods right now. I just got it this spring and have little time, in college. I'm still getting the car up to full strength, replacing brake components and coolant hoses...
Hobbies: Working on the SHO, music, dreaming of new things to do to my SHO. Of and of course kicking ricer ass!

EDIT: I totally agree on maintenence. I've had my car for a year now and am still upgrading the suspension and such to stock form. Then I'm going to start with the mods. But of course I'm in college so time/money is tight.

My Name is Randy I live in Davenport, Ia. Just recently purchased a blk on blk 1992 SHO. No mods. Totally stock! Just working on it to bring it back to original specs. Been a fun project. Dont think me as ancient but when I was in the average age brakett of the Iowa SHO club, I was racing a 1969 351 windsor Mustang GT blk on blk and a 1970 Mach 1 Mustang Grabber blue drag pak 428 scj ram air. This SHO is fondly bringing back memories of road fun. She's Great!

I have midnight blue metallic 1993 3.2L ATX with cloth/leather. We bought it new (September 1993) in Newton from Axtell. Someone had ordered it in, and never took delivery of it. We traded in a Merkur XR4Ti black/black leather two-door (4-cylinder turbocharged, imported German Ford product). Our first son was about 10 months old at the time, and we needed the four door, but momma still wanted her giddyup. We are now at 151K and on our third transaxle (counting the original). The SHO Forum indicates that drastic changes were made to the 1994 AX4N transaxle (from the AX4S model), in utilizing more steel components over aluminum. So, if it goes again, I am going to a 1995 Continental for a replacement.

In the past week, I put KYB gas struts (GR-2) on the back, two new calipers on the back and did part of the long-over-due 100K upper job. I am expecting a proportioning valve any day now. My left rear caliper is not receiving any fluid, and the piston in the proportioning valve doesn't even move. I will put on the front KYB's this weekend, and also replace the poorly-performing Bosch plugs that I put in last weekend, with the Denso iridiums that I just bought today.

In 1976, I owned a new 1976 Yamaha XS750 3-cylinder, shaft drive motorcycle. Then it was the rice burners versus the hogs, MotoGuzi's and the BMW's. Whenever you guys talk about kicking the ricers around, you have to remember that it is the rice burner under your hood that gives your SHO its mystique and muscle!!!
