I have the eibachs and there awesome, also im not sure if id want to go any lower the eibachs will drop your car pretty low depending on which set you get but still lower then the eibachs. Just something to keep in mind if you want low eibach if you want lower but still more streetable go eibachs:thumb:

I thought the Eibachs were too high, but I like my SHOs low. I replaced my Eibachs with cut Intrax, love it.

Quite honestly, I think you would be happy with either one. I have Intrax/Koni's on my 93.mtx and my son has Eibach/tokico's on his 94 mtx. Both cars have a similar stance, although mine may be fractionally lower, it's so close that you have to look hard to see any difference. I can definitely state, however that the Intrax/Koni combo is stiffer than the Eibach/Tokico combo. If "low" is what you care about, you can cut a coil, but then you lose some suspension travel. There are always trade offs.

And the problem is?

Bob

I edited your post in my quote.

My car doesn't seem to have the eibach look. I found them at a junkyard, so I don't know what the previous owner did, but it looks like a coil or so was cut. Yeah, I got my shocks and struts for $115

I'm looking to change from tokico to koni.I've tokico, eibach set up with front, rear strut tower brace,sfc,h-brace and asb.The car is stiff but i want to adjust the shocks. The only way to adjust is konis.I'm going to put on koni with shoshop liner springs. What do you think? Is shoshop liner spring better than intrax, eibach?

And Brian got his $83 Quaife equipped tranny from the same car. What a score that was.

SHO Shop Linears start stiffer than both eibach or intrax, but I think the Intrax is stiffer as the spring compresses. You will need to get adjustable control arms in the rear with SS linears. You won't be able to get the camber back to specs with eccentric bushings alone. Your front end will drop quite a bit and you will scrape. My subframe connectors sometime rub on speed bumps. SHO Shop linears can be good or bad springs. They were all hand wound springs and sometimes the manufacturer did a good job on the springs, but sometimes the springs collapsed. Lack of quality control was the main reason the SHO Shop stopped offering the springs.

Intrax are stiffer and give you a lower drop.

Also most places do not have Intrax and wont have them till aorund June/July.

Go with Eibach if that is all the drop you need; I like mine and don't want to go lower; the more you lower. the more you offset the axles from the horizontal which increases torque steer. .......bump steer can also increase.

So, you can't decide on how low to go, get some coil over's. I can damn near put my + on the ground. You MUST run Koni inserts with the coil over's. No other strut can handle the dampening duties.:thumb:

Since we have only two choices, its not too hard to decide. The way i look at it is if you want to go for that lowered look and do not care about the added beating/stress on the car from the rough ride, go with intrax, as they lower the car more then eibachs. Cut eibachs seem to look nice as well.

I like the stock plushy ride and im gonna keep it, even after installing my rims this summer.
