Interior lights don't come on with driver handle lift

If I lift the driver-side door handle, my interior lights don't come on. It works if I do it on the passenger side though. Also, the light surrounding the keyhole doesn't come on. I assume this means my door handle is faulty? Advice?

That's where I would look first. Do they come on whey you push a button on the keypad?

I don't have a keypad.
