Has anyone out there repainted the plastic interior peaces? I just recieved my a-pillar gauge pod, its black now and I plan on painting it mocha. I was wondering what would be the best paint and color to match or even close. Paints not as cheap as it used to be or I would experiment myself, any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are in uncharted territory. The best you can do is take another plastic part off your car and match it to the paint can top at a store with lots of selection. Go a little on the light side, as paint in place tends to be a bit darker than the swatch colour.

Mocha will most likely have to be custom mixed. I don't know of any match from a can.

SHO NUT used to have it avaliable on his site.
I don't know if it's still on there, though.

I went from Mocha to Black and used the Duplicolor vinyl dye. It worked great!

Dont know about mocha.

But I do know that the Duplicolor vinyl paint gray is close enough to the gray interior color to work just fine.

Thanks guys. Im not looking for a perfect match, just something close. Figured I would ask just in case somebody could come up with something off the top of their head. I just wanted to be prepared. This project that will not get done till after winter along with a headliner anyway, too damn cold to play with plastic now anyway. When I get it figured out I will update what i did.

You can return you gauge pod that you have; and for an additional $8.00, you can order a mocha one that I am sure will match. You will be out $8.00 plus shipping, but it is a solution.

I was happy with the color match for the gray - but there did seem to be some variance from can to can.

With a chip book, you could probably get it close, but you're better off just having some mixed.

jmpsho2nd (I think that's his user name now) mixed up some paint for his sunroof switch panel, and redyed his steering wheel. Should be some pics up somewhere.
