We are fortunate here in British Columbia in having excellent roads, but even back in Nova Scotia, where the roads are, frankly, awful, I was happy with the aluminum sub frame bushings. There is no doubt they make the ride rougher on bad roads, but the improvement in the handling was remarkable and, for me personally, well worth the added harshness in the ride. Here in southern BC, it never even comes into play, as the roads are remarkably well maintained.

Yes (I have to add more text because the forums require a minimum amount to allow me to post...I hope this is enough text)
Nova Scotia huh? I've talked to some people up there, while not as bad as Newfoundland, I could hardly understand what the guys were saying.
