As stated in the linked forum it imvolves IDS and a VCM2. This is the dealer software and hardware. It can be purchased privately but in no way is cheap. It involves manipulating the as built data for the instrument cluster. If you dealer doesn't charge you much I can tell you what needs to be changed if you provide me your vin number. Be warned some dealers may not even have someone who knows how to manually enter the as built data using their own software.

Can I do this with a pass through device? I don't have an IDS but I have a pass through device and have programmed a few Ford PCMs and have done updates on both my old 2010 SHO and Raptor.

Are you using FMP (Ford Module Programmer)? I haven't used that. If that is what you are using does it allow As Built Data to be programmed in? Thats what you need to do.

I didn't see the link at first. On my phone. That's a Chinese knockoff. I wouldnt trust my expensive car with that. IDS does have a three day trial if u can get done in three days what you want to do.

PM me your vin number. It's not as simple as just saying change this. I need to look at the exact as built data that the car is programmed with first.

Have you been able to get the LED "fog lights" to be on all the time, acting like DRLs?

I saw nothing in there about the LED's being enabled as DRL. The only DRL options are the low beams (non HID headlights) or turn signals (non HID and HID headlights).
