Keep in mind also, that sensor will throw a code if the outside air is below 50F or so. I am not quite 100% on what temp its at but if its below a normal outside temp it will think its out of range.

this "chip" does put the sensor out of range....
i think it says anything below 42* and it will throw it.... but what i dont get is what about the people up in the northern states??? when it gets to 30* or whatever??
does it throw the code then as well??

That's crazy talk, my sho didn't throw a code when it was below freezing lol that's just silly!!!! Maybe NEGATIVE 40* or something??? those resisters could potentially make the pcm see a very very low temperature that it might register as "not normal."

Not really. It won't turn on your "Check Engine" light while you are driving..but it should throw a code during a scan of the computer. Mine did.
