intake porting and removing horns

ok u port out the intake do a gasket match with BBB, whats the gains of power and torque on that set up? better acceleration ? or loss of power on take-off ? or gd take-off power.... 0-60 performance ? :omgsho:

Porting and BBB will get you more pull over 4k (after the butterflys open). Gasket matching to the head ports will help as well. The gain from gasket matching the primary runners would be very minimal. Do you already have a high flow y-pipe? This would be the first thing to do on an MTX (after maintinance).

intake posting is one of those mods that you really don't notice until a fair amount of supporting mods are done as well...i.e. MAF with accompanying tune, exhaust and perhaps cams. when i ported my intake on an otherwise stock engine, i didn't notice much of anything. it was only after i threw some parts at it and i had my intake off for painting did i notice a difference, and it was mostly in throttle response rather than power.
