Intake "Muffler"

When removing the restriction inside the air intake, is it just a cylinder with holes in it?

um, what? you talkin about the thing that looks like a saxophone in the fenderwell?

Yeah and inside of the saxacone there is an air restrictor that some remove for better air flow..but i thought it was cone shaped.

I pulled it out and it was a cylinder shape is this what it looks like?
