intake manifold re-assembly question

im trying to put it back onto the car.... it is fully assembled with the couplers a little loose.



When i put the Intake manifold on the Heads, it rocks back and forth from corner to corner.


I know we had this problem on "Dasfinc's" car... but he just suggested putting in the x amount of bolts that goes into the heads..... and tighten them down, then tighten down the coupler nuts.

is it common for these to not sit perfectly straight until you torque down the bolts??

You must loosen the clamps on the intake hoses before you bolt the intake down to the head.

Yea ryan...Just torque them down to the heads with the couplers loosened up, once its all tightened down, tighten up all the couplers.

Get that sucker running before I get home on thursday, Im dying to hear the scream of BBBs.
