Just bought Corsa sport exhaust cat back system and AirAid intake planning on installing it as soon as it comes in. Do I need to get my car tuned?

Well the intake only makes noise. And you didn't buy downpipes which is where the biggest gains in the exhaust are found. But I would expect with a tune from unleashed or lms along with a 3bar map. You'll be in the 360whp range. Like most people.

anyone know a good tune shop in nyc?

Go with either Livernois or Unleashed. They have done hundreds if not thousands of cars, any local shop probably has done a handful of SHO's. They will send you a tuner, then you connect it to your laptop and download the tune to the tuner, then hook it up to your car and load it. Easy as heck, and will get you a better tune than any local shop. I have Livernois, the difference after loading the tune was crazy, shaved almost a full second off the 0-60 time. If you are somehow able to drive the car like a normal adult after you load the tune, your mileage will not change. If anything it probably goes up a little bit after the tune.

My AirAid cold air intake system and Corsa cat back exhaust got installed yesterday. She sounds amazing now I'm looking to do another upgrade. Should I go with down pipes or 3bar map and tune?

^you need a tune to run downpipes anyway...... 3bar and tune first.

A tune is not needed for downpipes, but it sure helps to have one. A tune is not needed for a Tstat either, but rather it is the tune that says a TStat is a musthave.

But with a 3bar, a tune is a MUST. As 2012korn stated, do the 3bar & tune first. Then when you add downpipes, get your tune revised.

Catless downpipes most certainly do require a tune.......the catted ones? Yeah maybe you'll be fine. But you will most likely throw a cel. High-flow cats like to do that.

If you are utilizing our custom tuning we recommend having us revise your tuning for any and all parts that have been mentioned. We do not charge for any type of remote tune revising at all...EVER!
