My normal instant mpg is almost down by a third and im not driving any differently. Engine is not reving higher boost is not higher no fuel leak. What im wondering is that since the instant mpg is measured by A/F. Could the issue be with the injectors?

I would think fuel first.

Since the fuel switch, my ST is actually getting 4 mpg more. Fuel blend, air temp, air density, and control of the loud pedal all affect mileage.

My best with mixed city and highway. Just the other day, 93 octane and tuned on winterblend

New engine and turbos. On cheap PA sheetz 93 octane. Shes my little hybrid. The instant full economy average says 18.5 i think when i click on it. Not sure what PA winterblend ethanol content is. I think it would be more as people idle more to compensate for the extending idling, but i can also get ethanol free and see if its better

It’s. Not what I’m getting it’s how it could drop without driving differently o. The same tank of gas same weather. Something is not right cuz In the instant bar is showing like 5 mpg when I gently accelerate irnally that happens under heavy acceleration

If tuned the upstream o2 could be very dirty and not throw a code and i think it would cause mpg to lower unless that the downstream o2’s job. Cats or not, you stomp it tuned and she blows out black smoke for a split second from gas
Edit:
Maybe not, my sho still has the o2s from the blown engine on it and i drove it over 1000 miles blowing out all its oil within 100miles and i never had them cleaned and im getting good mpg with a tune. Now i went back to stock the other day. So ill see what my mpg is with just a stock tune

with an XDI pump you can run it year round :)

I have an issue with e30 or more ethanol in the winter in PA. Its easy to get but ethanol does not like the cold. I wouldnt run e30 or more in the winter unless other members in michigan or illinois are not seeing cold weather issues because i dont know how the setup is on the ecoboost. E30 tuned carb on my big block is a pain to run in the winter

E30 I've never had an issue no matter what temperature. With E85 under 30*F it usually takes a few tries to start but once started it drives like stock.

I'm getting about 13.3mpg mainly city driving and in the past year of owning the car I've seen about 15 as best city and 20 as best highway trip. Mine threw a code (P0150) for bank 2 sensor 1 O2 sensor and although I haven't had to replace it yet I'm going to guess that might be a problem. Some research I've done said it might be that upstream O2 sensor. This is all on stock tune and I had a tune up in the spring of coil boots spark pugs and knock sensor after the car threw the code for O2 sensor. I would like to know what you find out and what you and others do to get better mpg's.
