How hard is it to install white face gauges. I just ordered a set off of ebay and was wondering how hard they were to install.

It is extremely easy. Remove the headlamp **** and the nut behind it. Then remove the lower panel uner the steering wheel via four torx screws. From ther you remove the two screws behind it and the two above the gauges. Pull the whole surrounding towards you and disconnect the clock, volume, defrost etc.... There are a six or so torx screws that hold in the clear panel. Pull that and the black trim. From there, you can slide the white faced guages over the needles. Use some tape at the top tab to hold them in place.

The next part would be wiring. You'll have to find a line that is hot only when the parking lights are on. Once you find that, tap into it and wire up the gauges. DO NOT wire them to a dimmable source.

Now you car put everything back together.

If you do a SEARCH, I think BIZZY has a write up on it.

any problems with them?

? do they look to bright at night? I want to get them but i think that it might get annoying having that glow. that why i want the R/G gauges. I saw gotsho's gauges and fell in love.

You don't want to hook up an inverter to a dimmable source. My directions did not say not to do it, so I hooked mine up to a dimmable source. Another person on the forum had directions that said not to. I e-mailed the company and they told me not to hook it up to a dimmable source.

Here's the deal, I installed them and spliced them into the fog light switch, this was about a year ago. Last week when I got my remote start installed I noticed I can dim them or brighten them with either the control **** supplied with the gauges, or the interior lights dimmer.

If you don't dim the lights... then you'll be okay. The problem occurs when you dim them.

That's exactly what I did and while I don't usually play with the dimmer too much, I still do adjust them from time to time and I haven't had any problems with mine yet. Had mine in for mmm....well a long time. :)
