installing shifter bushings

I just got my shift bushings in the mail and I was looking for a how-to thread on installing them. I searched and I cannot find one....
any help?
I'm sure it isn't hard, but I'd like to know before I try

I bet your thinking of the stabilizer rod shifter bushings.
That is very easy,the old one pops out and the new ones pop right in,one on each side.
Jose makes a delrin bushing and larger clevis pin for the knuckle part of the shifter
Replacing these is a bit more involved.I can provide help with that also if needed as I just did mine.

yes it is the stabilizer rod
the bushings look ok, but the shfit has play in it. so i will replace these and see where this take me....
any other mods to make the shifter feel more firm?

I got a slightly longer stabilizer rod bolt,it threads into the transmission a little farther to hopefully prevent the boss from braking.
I was also having an issue with that bolt backing out,the longer bolt fixed that also.
I also got the kit from Jose that replaces the bushing and the clevis pin in the knuckle part of the shifter.
If you jiggle the rods you can see where your shifter has slop.

Jose's bushing and pin made a huge difference in my shifter. I was going to replace the stabilizer bushing, but it turns out that it didn't need it. I also have a replacement ball and socket for the shifter end that I might around to replacing some day.
