I have been installing a dynomax exhaust for the PAST week. I was under the impression that this was a day job. I have been having all sorts of problems with. Mike at ShoSource has been pretty helpful with a lot of it. I have one last problem that I cannot seem to fix. I have tried to many times to fix this problem with no success. The the right side muffler always hangs to low no matter what adjustments I do the the rest of the catback. It also looks like the tip is pointed down. I have assembled the cutback in two manners to see if I could fix the problem. Once building from the y-pipe to the back and once from the back to the y-pipe. The hangers are not worn out. I am close to pulling what hair I have out!! Does anyone have any advice? Do I just have a bad piece not bent right? Anyone have pics of the stock exhaust to see if I missed something. Its been siting in the yard and the neighbors are not too understanding so it disappeared yesterday.

Here is a pic of where I am at:

There have been prior posts about problems with matching the outlet height with this cat-back. Try a search. Personally, I would take it to a muffler shop, have those chrome tips cut off and turned down outlets welded on so they would be hidden like on my '92 , thus matching not a problem.

David,

I have the same issue on my 95 MTX which also has the Dynomax cat back. Mine is not nearly as bad as yours is though so I just left it be. Take your SHO to a mom and pop exhaust shop, show them the issue, and let the mechanic work for 30 minutes and you will have an aligned exhaust for under 75 bucks.

Mine never lined up properly...it was closer than yours but still at least 2 inches off. Frustrated me a ton too because there's nothing I could do about it, it's not like I assembled it wrong, the fit is just terrible from the factory. I ended up getting mine symmetrical, but they weren't anywhere near the cutouts in the bumper.
