Installing A/C Components

When i purchased my car the owner before m when he did the 3.2 swap he had the A/C components removed. How hard is it to install all of this? I have my 93' atx at home with everything on it that i can get it from? anybody have any idea? TIA I miss having AC!!!

Well, it depends on how much he removed to how much you will have to replace. The compressors, condensers, and evaporators are the only things interchangeable. So, you will have to buy MTX specific lines for your car.

Pretty intense job or is it something a guy can do in his garage? I really do miss A/C

Well, really it depends how much he removed. If he left everything alone in the dash, then no it won't be that difficult. It will just be a matter of getting a compressor, accumulator, orfice tube, condenser, and the rest of the hard lines (the hard lines you can get from a junk yard MTX SHO, the rest need to be new/rebuilt).

You simply need to buy the $10 AC tool, and all the parts. Actually if you won't be removing anything you might not even need the tool.

Is the evaporator in the dash, or the condenser in front of the radiator, or the compressor in there?
