I distracted hotrodkid for a few hours today and last night to make me a catless Y pipe for my 1990 SHO. Holly **** what a difference! I love the exhaust note and there is a substantial increase in power. I might even be able to get into 4th gear at Nelson Ledges later this month! I approve!

Hopefully you didn't distract him to much from the intake spacers he's 3 months behind on :/

Yea thats why the ypipe is mod number 1 on these cars . Easily the best bang for your buck.

With a catted Sho shop y, I assume the difference would still be worthwhile. Would it require a retune of the chip?

nick made the Y pipe from scraps laying around the shop. It is not pretty so definitely no pics haha. I love the way it sounds.

I need a set of spacers too lol. a couple more days of fab and we will have some time off on the car waiting for fuel system parts to come in so maybe he can bang them out then.

We offer both catted and catless y-pipe.

The catless has more top end but a little loss on the low end with more rasp.

The catted is good if you need to meet smog. There is less rasp.

I noticed a huge gain from 2500RPM+ on my car. The majority of the gain on my car was in the low end to mid range according to the butt dyno.

Then I installed the intake from my turbo SHO and I picked up the top end a bunch extending my power band which previously ended at 6000 to 6800 which was VERY welcome power on the road course + now my secondaries are loud as **** and I like that!

Once again thank you for the swift response!
