Does anyone know how to install a new multi-function switch? I purchased one off of eBay and I need to install it. My directional signal doesn't always work right and my wiper settings don't always engage.

I diagnosed the switch myself (with no ability!). I think I have done this right. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

You will need to remove the metal trim plate below the steering column that is secured with 4 Torx fasteners. Unscrew the steering column tilt lever with a small open end or adjustable wrench on the flats on the stem. Then remove the screws that secure the plastic covers on the steering column. I only separate the left side of the shell as the right side does not fit over the ignition lock.

Separate the plastic clamshell, unclip the electrical connector and remove the 2 (Torx?) screws that attach the multifunction switch. Remove the old switch and install the new switch. Reattach the connector and ensure that the electrical harness is not pinched in the clamshell. Reassemble the trim parts.

Use your signals and wipers as you wish.

Hey Scott, You say you do not have to remove the ignition barrel to get the shroud out of the way for the switch? Cool! If one were to want to fix the wobble in the ignition I presume it's no biggie to key the barrel into "on" position, pull it and then what exactally does one do to re-anchor the ignition barrel into the column. Please confirm. Thanks, Chris

You may want to search on this topic as I recall recently reading how to replace the ignition lock. I have never had to ermove mine to replace the MF switch, but will eventually need to in order to replace the ignition lock.

I just wanted to say these directions worked great! I did not need to take off the right side of the cover. I just had to lift the top of it and I could fit the hazard button under it. Works great! Now I have wipers and signals again. Thanks!

Followed instructions...Done

I've only been reading the Shoforums for a few weeks, and its been a great thing. Today I removed my multifunction switch thanks to this thread, cleaned the contacts and put it back in. It worked great....now, where's that link to the Blower Speed Control Module?
