I am getting ready to service my ATX and have been looking at the inline magnetic transmission filters. ATP sells one along with a company called Magnefine. Was wondering if anybody else uses them or has any type of insight or opinion.

Thanx, Doug

I put an inline filter on the power steering line, it looks like a fuel filter. It was from autozone and actually listed as a powersteering filter. Autozone Part # 2210:shrug: just a suggestion.

They are fine to use. But you must change them. You do not want a filter to plug and stop cooler flow.

On my GSX I installed an external filter. Works on a FL1A ( I think ) Large Ford filter. Summit racing had them for about $30.00

Much better choice IMHO.

I didn't think about plumbing one of those in, that would be a great idea. What is your change interval?

I posted over on the TCCA about using a spin-on external filter. one guy tried it, said that it worked OK. I have an old remote oil filter head I am going to use for mine.

good thing about using a fram PH8 is that it has a bypass valve, so even if it plugs it will flow.
