As my SHO nears 100k I know it needs to have some things replaced, just not sure what. I can list the things that have been done within the last 40k.

-Oil changed every 3k
-new alternator
-new a/c compressor
-new radiator and hoses
-new spark plugs and wires, pretty sure the gaskets around the plug wells were replaced then also
-new transmission(slightly modified
electronically)(3rd one now)
-new t-stat
-new waterpump
-no valve lash adj. yet, for lack of a mechanic I have found who knows about it
-new o2 sensors
-sho shop y-pipe and flex pipe

I know maintence makes the SHO burn_out So I plan to get that side of things done before anymore go fast goodies.

Per your owners manual maintance book, you are due for a timing belt and valve lash, although ********* SHO owners will say do the valve lash every 60K. While doing the timing belt, do the crank position sensor and oil seal since it's in the same area. Since the waterpump was replaced fairly recently, that would be your choice whether to replace again or not. Did my valve lash check at 95,000 on my 94 ATX and found all shims in good shape and only two out of spec.

You might wanna consider rod bearings soon. I just did mine in my 93 wit 90k on it. I did it because of what I've read here and also because I had (and still have!) a moment of rod knock on start up. The hardest part of the job was getting out the old y-pipe. I only snapped off one manifold to y-pipe stud. But since you have a new y in, it should be a piece of cake.
