Hey Everyone...For those that have no idea who I am or have forgotten, because its been sooooo long ago that Ive had a presense here, my name is Brad. Im from Washington State and Im involved with the operation of The Custom Wheel Shop dot com. You can learn more about me NOT being your typical online thief by visiting the TCCoA, SCCoA, TBU, lincolnvscaddilac or markviii.org...

We started and continue to build wheels specifically for the Tbird, Cougar & MarkVIII. Ive always wanted to bring some choices to the Taurus crowd but it seemed that alot of what was available in this odd bolt pattern actually fit your cars really well. So the need was not as serious or great in my estimation. Anyways.....Why I am here.

Im building a new wheel...Its a cast that Euromax had and was building for Saleen. Its called the 612series...Im sure most of you have seen it. So when I say WAS building I mean that they are no longer building it. So the cast is mine to use. Follow the link below to have a look at the wheel and the finishes available for it...Im currently building this wheel in a 18X9 Gunmetal finish. Im wanting to build an 18X7.5 in this wheel as well.

CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE NEW WHEEL

If you want to see how this wheel would look on your SHO then simply got to my website www.thecustomwheelshop.com and click on the HERE link where is says "To see how a wheel looks on a vehicle".

WHEN??? Well Ive already scheduled the other 18X9's to be built in November. Once I get the information Im needing here I can get these in line to be built as well (December??). But I dont want to build something without first talking to you all...

So is this a wheel style that creates interest or excitement?? If so...In what finishes??

This is in no way a GP feeler...Just here to field questions, comments and concerns. So lets open this all the way up...I would only ask that we do our best to stick to the matter/subject at hand.

Shwew...Guess thats about it...What a mouth full....heh =)

Cheers & Have a Great Weekend!!!

It's a nice looking wheel...

BUT

Not a Taurus wheel IMO. That looks like it belongs on a Mustang.

Personally I think some thin many-spoked wheels look pretty nice (Super/Ultra Leggeras) and the SVT Cobra 5 spokes look amazing.

EDIT - Out of the wheels on your site, I like the 515 and 942 styles, in that order. Way way too big for a SHO though...

I like it! Definitely a break away from the limited wheel selection you normally see for the Taurus bolt pattern.

Things that will be important around here are weight and price.

Have you looked into making wheels for the new SHO? I'd bet there would be some money to be had there...

I like it.
Unfortunately, I'm also very broke, so I won't be buying any....

I like the wheel; you will have to do something like tirerack where you see the wheel on the car, side view. Of all the wheels availabe for the current 1 & 2 gen. SHO's, I still like the slicers alot, with some Volvo wheels that look nice as well. This wheel has potential. I personally like a wheel with an uninterrupted rim edge and this one has it.

I really like that style! Given that they're not heavy I'd would get them. Personally I prefer them in 18X8 (I run 245s and 7.5" wide wheels is not wide enough) and in a dark silver/light gunmetal finish. The gunmetal on Euromax's site is way too dark.

Will they be hubcentric to the Taurus? offset?

I did a couple of photochops a long time ago with the ROH RT, similar style (I like these more to be honest, more details in the spoke) and I think they look great!

Sorry for the belated reply here...=\ Im not getting the emails with respect to this thread I guess...heh

I appreciate all the input and the photochop is brilliant...

Does the SHO have a 63.90MM hub?? I can easily make the wheel hubcentric to the car. However the OE Replica wheels I can not. The molds are differant.

SPEROLD: I linked you to our website and we do have a software database/interface that will enable you to see these wheels on your car/color/tint/lowering tool. Visit the custom wheel shop dot com and look for the link on the front webpage.

I knew someone would mention the Cobra R's...hehehehe Its a timeless wheel for these gen vehicles for sure. What is the most desired finish if I built the CobraR?? Keep in mind that I cant afford to build one of everything. If I were to build a CobraR 17X8 it would have to be ONE of the following...Silver/Charcoal/Polished/Chrome.

A 245MM tire should fit a 7.5" wheel just fine?? Depends on what size you are running though. Looks like your tires size is like 26.2" tall in stock form. Can you guys run a 245-45-18?? And in 17's whats the prefered size?? 255-45-17 is close to the right height but is it a bit wide for these cars?? I dont have a SHO so I dont have anything to do a test fit with.

Thanks again for the input everyone!! =) KEEP IT COMING =)

Enjoy football Sunday!!hehe

I think silver or polished would be the shit for a new cobra wheel

people can charcoal them later if they want, i doubt everyone would want that.... also Chrome would add some money/weight/looks crappy later on
