Well, I've been looking at a Red '97 SHO down in Iola, KS. The body and interior is FLAWLESS! But, the engine may need some work, and an engine weld.

Any ideas where I can get an engine weld around KCK?

I've got a spare cam to weld on too!

PS I'll let everyone know how my day goes when I go look at a SHO tonight :naughty:

The guy I'm buying it from would ship it for $150.. which... is kinda good I guess :)

So, does anyone know any welder's in KC?
closest guy I know of that will do it is Jared in Grand Island. he's the guy that al fitz has weld cams. or you could try and get at least 7 other people interested and have Northeast SHO do a camfest. A guy I was cool with in high school's parents own a flatbed truck company and they have a branch in KC. I haven't talked to him since I graduated two years ago. But, if you're interested I could see if they'd be willing to put it on the back of an empty truck coming back from KC and see if he would be willing to tow it out to grand island for you for the cost of fuel and to compensate him for his time. I thought about investigating the second half last summer when I was looking for a new car.

And it will probably reside at the Nebraska SHO Shop for a 60k.

If you guys would like a spare cam to practice on, let me know your address via a PM. I'll ship one down.

Only on the condition that you will buy me a beer or two next time we meet. Or food, I like food too :)

Looks like it needs a power antenna, I've got one for you.

I think we need a window tinting party in the future!

Yes, definitely needs tint with the dark interior.

You have an antenna, contour switch, and a willing heart to accept another orphan?

Lol

That water pump will be a learing experience for me, I've never done one on a FWD vehicle. At least I'll get some practice on yours, so I don't F mine up.;)

After seeing all the white SHO's with tinted windows, I desperatly need it done. That and the AC...

DIY jobs have been known to fail. With the different metal composition of the shaft and sprocket it would be best to let the professionals do the job. he might want the shaft so whoever he does let do the job can practice to make sure the voltage and speed is correct anyway.

Thats why I asked, mainly for whoever is going to weld them, to get the wire feed and volts squared away.
