Ok, rear brakes.. New Calipers, new ebrake cables, new pads and rotors.. My little step sister was screwing around and sat in the car and before i could yell at her to get out she pushed the brake pedal before i got the new caliper on the rotor.. I bought the little cube thing but its too small.. What the heck am i suppose to do now? I dont feel like pulling the ebrake cable off again because that was a royal PITA to get on... Ive got smoke pouring out my ears from these damn kids! :(

The brake cube has always worked for me. Just gotta find the right side to use.

Do you have a pair of vice grips? Use those on your e-brake and using the spring as a lever to twist the cable around and out of the spring. Kinda hard to explain but you can easily figure out what I am talking about if you put some vice grips to it. Give me a call if you need any advice!

Why people waste money on the ***** cube ... this is cheap at harbor freight and they loan them at autozone. Work smart not harder

I agree. I got this kit when it was on sale at harbor freight for $10. I work at a GM dealership and has worked on everything i've needed it for, plus my SHOs..... very good investment..... :)

Open the bleeder while turning the pistons. Will make it much easier, but you have to push on the piston while spinning it in. On a brand new caliper that shouldn't be too hard. There is no need to disconnect the ebrake cable to turn in the pistons. Make sure that the two notches on the piston are horizontal when you are done so they can line up with the nubs on the new pads.

I use a pair of pliers. I open the right amount and tighten the pivot nut, then just push and turn.

Rear brakes? IIRC the rear brakes don't turn in with the "cube thingy". They just compress back in with the standard brake tool.
