Ok I had to do a rush job to put my car back together. And I think/know I mucked a few things up.

Mainly my issue is it idles like @#$%! My two little rubber hoses on the EGR are done for so basically the are not hooked up. Also i'm not 100% aure I put the plug wires back on right.

Obviously if the plug wires arent on right that would surely cause it but would the EGR system as well? I doesnt seem to me that it would but who knows!

Also when I accelerate it runs just fine same with cruising on the highway.

Any thoughts?

Yup. Failed/faulty EGR valves will make your car idle like crap, but run pretty much fine in the higher RPMs.

if your vacuum hoses are not plugged in (or capped at the intake manifold, it's likely a vacuum leak. it's easy enough to verify the plug wires are in the right location just by following them back.

It wasn't the EGR!!! It was the IAC. The coolant tube wasent connected and after loosing a little bit of coolant it's fine now.

Thanks everyone!

I guess thats what happens when you remove your intake at 10pm, and rush to put it back on in the dark...

That's pretty funny man. If you think what happens at 10pm is bad, you don't even want to know what happens at 6am when you've been up all night. I mistook lb/inches for lb/ft in my helms and stripped the life out of an aluminum thread. Shoforum people pointed me in the right direction, and Helicoil came to the rescue. Of course it was an odd ball size that needed to be special ordered. Only took a week to come in. Your subject line sounds just like one of mine when I don't know what's going on. It's always better to accept your mistakes than hide behind the alleged shortcomings of a car company. I'm glad you got it figured out. There is a lot going on with the intake manifold

That crap happens. You should get yourself one of those work lights. One of the lights that has the cage around it works very well at night. I also have a light stand with 2 large halogen bulbs that helps. I'm fortunate enough to live in a house with a garage. It's not deep enough to hold my car unless we move the freezer somewhere. The first time I took my upper engine apart I labeled all of the hoses and their connectors with duck tape. After removing the intake around 6 times it's pretty much second nature. From my experience, the sho motor is not a bad motor to begin learning auto mechanics on. I expected the rear bank work to be difficult. It was initially difficult for me doing the lashing. After everything was apart, it probably took me 5 hours to go through all of the valves the first time. You have to figure time for losing the lashing tools, and some of those valves on the rear that are just plain difficult if it's your first time.

It's very good to have a toolbox that has parts trays. It's very important to keep things labeled and together. Home depot has a fairly large one for $20 that comes with 2 removable parts holder boxes up top, similar to what comes with a valve adjustment kit. I was gonna splurge but decided not to. I really could use a good toolbox with drawers to spread my tools out in.
