Ignition Key

I seemed to have misplaced my ignition key and I do not have a spare. If I can't find it can I go to Ford with my VIN# and get a new one? If so how much am I looking at spending? What other cheaper options do I have to solve this problem?

I am betting a good locksmith could get you some type of key to work with it.

As far as a dealership being able to get you another one, call a local one and find out.

FYI: To replace the ignition you need the key that fits your current ignition.

Never mind I found the key but thanks for the help anyway.

For future reference it is only +'98 cars that can get a key made with a VIN number.

Yeah I know that was the first thing I did when I found the key.
