I went to firestone to get a tire fixed and they told me that I needed to replace a idler pulley(it was cracked) the problem is that I can't even see it that easily so I don't know if there are full of it or not....How can you tell if its bad or not? I know that I need to replace the belt and if I need to replace the idler pulley. How hard is it and has anyone ever done this before? I have a 93 atx. Thanks and any help would be great.

you have 3 idler pulleys. One is right night to the power steering pump, and that is the tensioner as well. The other two are directly left of the alternator and AC compressor, and are in line vertically with each other. The tension pulley requires a 17mm socket, and the idler pulleys require 14mm sockets. You'll probably need to remove the battery for a better look. Good luck!
