Idle reset warm or cold?

Hello, i would like to reset my idle but im not sure if i should warm up the car first or do it stone cold and when i hook the battery back up then let it warm up? Thanks!, Chris.

they want the car to be at operating temp when you do the idle reset, but I've done it with a cold engine and had it work. If its decent weather (50*+) I'd just do it from the cold engine and see how it turns out. If it idles fine after you are done, then run with it.

My idle resets normally occur after doing maintenance which require disconnecting the battery. Naturally, the first start is on a cold engine. The idle reset works fine. I don't think I've ever tried it on a hot engine.
