I have a brake caliper that has one piston and is stamped SSBC which I researched and it is a good brand. It’s aluminum as the guy says pretty lightweight. It has a number of 2424a not a lot comes up as usual. There’s also another number of SH7E. Not much info from there. Does anyone know about these.

Well, The spring indicates parking brake so it's a rear caliper. You on facebook? You can message them and see if they have a cross ref for the part. The SH7E is a caliper bracket that may be sold seperately and/or outsourced. Been a while since I got a look at a clean one.

Do a semi install (without attaching the brake hose) and see if it bolts up correctly with the rotor and spacing for pads. A pain but at least you'll know.

If it's oem spec you are good with a fresh part to use whenever. If it's different then you have a shiny object.

Just saying, ok the part will be lighter but...

Aluminium has a much lower melting point than steel and knowing how much heat the calipers handle, these parts could became deformed with repetitive dilatation on a short time no...?

The fact that no one knows them and the company isn't open anymore, could say us that the product wasn't a success.
