identify part from under dash

Please help me identify this part, and do I need to put it back.

sorry for the picture quality. I had this part leftover after replacing the heater core. I did not remove the dash completely, just swung the passenger side out to get access to the unit. I don't remember removing it, but my best guess is it came from the driver's side of the dash. It is 3.5x1.5x.1.2 inches. Ford PN

Don't worry about it.. It's belongs in the steering column, I believe it has something to do with the harness for the ignition. Mines been out for over 6 months now.

Same part was left over when I did my BDA replacement job a few weeks ago. It's still sitting on my workbench... :sh:
