IAC from another Taurus

Anyone try using an IAC from a different Taurus on there gen1 sho? I have a computer from a gen2 in it. Say a gen2 vulcan 3.0. Looks a little different. Also the 3.8 ends have IAC with the plug facing a different direction.

I just ordered an iac from rockauto, and the usage guide said it fit about half the Fords from that vintage, so there are plenty of others that fit.

Tried one from a gen2 (95) Taurus vulcan 3.0 It fit and plugged in, but when started the computer could barely keep the car idled. When driving, stalls pretty much everytime to push the clutch and not hitting gas. So guess, answers no. lol

you might have to reset everything, pull the battery and let it set over night and try again, even then it wont run the BEST but it should run, if it works. no guarantees

Yeah, did that. swapped in another ecu to. Didn't idle. No biggy, the normal stock IAC works great still.
