I know there is a leak somewhere, so after i fix the leak do i need to convert to r134a or whatever it is, and how do i do this? also what else should i do?

Sorry, $160 for a turnkey solution, plus someone's ass to kick if it ain't right, is well worth it.
A few years back it was $500 - $1,000 for folks to do it before they got it figured out.
