It is reported that engines from 2013 up can be transplanted into the earlier cars, but many sensors from the 2010 will have to be swapped into the new engine.

Is the 13 motor from a MKS?
And is it complete with turbos and accessories, or a long or short block type of sale.

There should be a "no smoke, no noises" type of refund policy as a minimum. The seller may insist on being there for the start-up if distance is not an issue.

Yes a 2013+ engine will fit. A few sensors will need to be swapped over, plus a couple of minor mounting/clearance type issues will happen. There is a post by RandR10 that lays out the details.

If you do not feel comfortable with the seller, do not buy.
