MTX swap.....

I was thinking about that but a buddy of mine has a 94' that he changed over to MTX and has nothing but issues... So a swap is out of the question.

I just want my ATX to be a reliable, fun-to-drive, and "fast" (for an ATX). It looks great inside and out (minus a few door dings and the spot where someone keyed my driver door). Now that it is running like a champ again, I want to make it faster.

Since almost everyone on this post is telling me to get the tranny fixed, anyone recommend anyone/any place? I live in Des Moines, IA and would be willing to work a deal out with someone.

I agree with most on this thread, fix your trans. After that, my 1st recommendation differs from many of my friends. Add sub-frame connectors. For less than $100(plus welding) this modification brings the most dramatic change to your SHO. It will feel tighter and more responsive on the road. Anything else that gives you this level of change will cost 3x as much(at least).

Ok so I know I need to get my transmission fixed. TOP priority.

I have decided to go ahead and do the 96' brake upgrade since everyone I have talked with says its worth it. Now I just need to hit up my local junk yard.

I would really like to know about some good engine upgrades. I don't plan on supercharging it or anything of that sort. I want fairly inexpensive upgrades...

Cams?
Underdrive pullies?
Intake?

etc...

I kinda know where to look for these items but I want a SHO enthusiast to direct me to the brands or parts that are worth the money. Thanks again for all who have replied to this thread. It has been helpful
