After replacing my maf, dpfe, o2's, iab, plugs, wires, gaskets & seals (all of them!!), oil pressure sender, timing belt, pulleys and tensioner, accessory belt, a/c clutch and pulley, alternator, starter, cam position sensor, radiator, tie rod ends inner and outer and straps my light was still on?? This morning I took the ford o2's out of my parts car and put them in my car, cleared the codes and drove to work crossing my fingers. NO LIGHT!!!! The good news is that I plan on keeping the car for a while so replacing the parts (all Ford parts!) and doing the work this past year isn't going to waste. The better news is that I have an amazing running SHO now and won't require my getting under the hood and car for a while...hopefully!!

wow, that's a lot of parts for a 176. Where I work, we call that "shotgun maintenance". As in, pretend you shoot it with a sawn-off shotgun and replace everything that a pellet hits!

O well, at least you have a bunch of new parts. :thumb:

I know it is a lot of parts, but as I started working on the car I found that a lot of the parts for our cars were becoming obsolete so I decided to replace everything I could now. I work in a large car dealer group and got cost plus 10% and had a certified Ford mechanic do the work I could't do in my drive way so the engine is tip top for a while.
