I fear the worst

After my tranny gets good and warm has a issue with overdrive. It goes into OD but when I try and give it a steady pedal at low speed and rpm's it studders and has a hard time understanding that it needs to down shift. Is the tranny gone ? I'm going to switch the TPS and see if it might have a "flat spot" but other then that I'm stuck. Oh and before anyone asks yes I have CEL codes and both O2 sensors are gone - I've got new ones just no time - maybe one night this week. Could the O2 sensors have anything to do with the issue ?

02 sensors can cause the engine to sputter and run rough. Hows your gas mileage?

Does your cruise conrol work,if not then it sounds like the variable speed sensor VSS needs to be replaced I'm pretty sure it puts out a code mine went at around 100,000 miles. It didnt want to come out of OD at highway speeds

Gas mileage sucks - I'm going to try and replace the O2 sensors this week and see if it helps.
