I accidentally left the "Left" and "Right" stickers on my rotor hats... will that cause a problem?

So... yeah... I accidentally left the "Left" and "Right" stickers on my rotor hats when installing my new EBC brake kit. I already posted about this once in the thread Upgrading the brakes... some advice needed AND given!, but I was also the previous last poster, so I doubt anyone will see it.

Anyhow, I'm wondering if it will cause any problem... they're extremely thin (I was actually going to get a razor to take them off, wasn't sure how else to get at them... but then I forgot ... hey, it was late and I was wicked tired lol.) I'm assuming a little paper sticker won't be enough to cause runout on the wheels... right?? Should I put my car up and remove the wheels and take those stickers off? So far, the brakes feel great, and the tires don't feel at all wobbly (properly torqued to 100 lbs. ft.)

Any thoughts?

It's a little piece of paper, it's not going to cause any issue. Think about it logically, do you wipe down your wheels and rotors every time you put your wheels back on? Chances are there's dirt that's just as thick as the piece of paper.

I left mine on. No problems so far. Actually when I took of the front passenger tire to access the PTU plug, the sticker was wearing off.

I have a hard time believing that ANY vehicle braking system is that tight on tolerances. No Offense big 3 but especially American vehicles.

An average sheet of paper is 0.0035'' thick. For the most part, it is non-compressible, so acts as a shim behind the wheel. Assuming the hub face is 5'' diameter, and the paper "shim" is offset on 1 side, it would cause about 0.008'' of runout at the OD of the tire.

It that enough to matter? Probably not for daily driving. My guess would be the worst that will happen is minimal reduced tire life from the constant scrubbing.

If you drive at high speeds (over 100 MPH), or race it, you should probably pull the wheel and peel the sticker off. Even American cars have comparatively tight tolerances on rotating parts - if that hub assembly was 0.0035'' out at the factory, it would go in the scrap bin.

Orrrrr.... I could go all out and litter the hubs with stickers so it's even all around. Get me some Mr. T stickers for dah bling yo. Boo-yah...

I suppose I'll just scrape them off next time I need to take the wheels off. Thanks for the input.
