Can someone help!. Have 13 SHO that at highway speeds the rear is humming so loud sometimes the radio doesnt block it. Could it be the wheel bearing? I rotated the tires same result. If it is wheel bearing, is it a tuff job on the rear wheels with the awd? I have done one in the past on a five hundred.

If it's a wheel bearing, it's the same as doing a FWD front bearing, basically.

Check the RDU (rear differential unit) oil condition - hopefully it's not that.

Jack the rear of the car up and check for play in the bearing by grabbing the tire

The humming is constant...if I let off the pedal the humming continues...the slower the speed the less.

I had the right rear wheel bearing go bad on my 2015. Very similar to what you are describing. It was replaced by Ford under the 100K drive train warranty I got when I bought it as a CPO.

Are you sure you're not hearing the annoying wind noise over the rear spoiler that I hear right about 80 MPH - or lower speeds but with significant headwind?

Its definitely coming from the wheels...I am going to double check by getting of the ground and run the car.

Well took it on today....was ably to remove all the bolts without issue...however the damn hub would not come out. I tried everything...air hammer, slide hammer, hub puller. Removing one of the studs and using a nut and bolt to force it out. This damn thing didnt even move. I beat the **** out of it. I give uppppppp. I put everything back and going to take it to the garage. I wonder if they will use the hub I purchased. Now that everything is back minus one stud...antilock break light is on...traction controllight on and now making more noise. Please read and take my advice spend the extra money have someone else deal with this BS.

Looking at mrhighcaliber's post in the other thread, I'll retract my no sweat you can do it post. Haven't seen one take that much pressure to release in a long time. And that was a rust belt car that had alot of salty years on it. At least you're not afraid to take a run at it. Post back if the shop has a tale of woe trying to get it to release.

Well, I advised you on the other thread to not even try and just take it to the shop and avoid the effort and frustration... now you know why I said what I said .
