That thing will be done in no time. Nice pics and good luck on the rest of the build.
Thanks, right now the weather got bad again so i gotta wait for the rain to stop before i can finish up some lil odds and ends.. but soon very soon she will be on the road again.... but of course as soon as shes done im stripping the paint off welding in some new metal where its needed and repainting the thing... sigh.. always doing something :p but it will be worth it in the long run.

yes and no.... not for this car atleast... i do have a t70 turbo thats going on a thunderchicken i may concider it for that project just not this one.... im not gonna be running enough boost to really need it... 15psi MAX tho im shooting for 14 :p iv ran 10psi b4 the ic so 14 shouldnt be that hard todo as long as i still have fuel left and that is the big question cuz i really dont know... at 10psi she still ran rich uptop but 4more psi may be too much of a jump... but we will see :D

what size injectors are you going to run? and are you going to change the internals? because I am running 15lbs of boost on the second turbo sho we are doing now, and I don't think the stock internals are going to handle more than that. they barely handle 10lbs and that is with proper tuning. What all are you going to include in your build. (like inj. size, fuel pump. etc?) BTW, the intercooler looks good. good luck :)

I think pistons will be the only problem. There was a high hp sho running around with A LOT more than 15psi :dribble:

It blew up because it went lean up top

right now im running a pure bone stock 3.0... stock injectors/pump/everything before i upgrade anything i want to find the limets of the stock stuff so for now its a stocker... but im sure ill find the limets shortly after getting her on the road... i plan on upping the boost 1 or 2 psi at a time and keeping eyes and ears on things till i cant safely go any higher.... once i find the limets if im not happy im gonna get bigger injectors a fpr and 255hp pump. oh yeah and thanks :) iv been redoing alot of stuff on the car for the past week. sofar so good havent run into any real hickups yet.

-Turbo Bob
p.s. Note its not Boost that i have to worry about its how much cfm i can push into the motor... sure boost raises the static compression ratio but im not planning on running insain amounts of boost.... just getting the most outta the cfm i can push.

Sorry, but I can not agree with breaking stuff intentionally, just to find the limits of the stock components, when the limits are well known. That is not called R&D, it's called waste.

There is way too much information available through this community network for people to go out and blow up engines for the sake of it. I am all about more turbo SHO's on the road, but lets keep them on the road by building them correctly, not by ruining perfectly good engines. Get some fuel upgrades (they are not that expensive) and some air metering upgrades, and make your time and effort worth something.

you see there toolman... i like to break stuff... it gives me a challange... plus it gives me something to do... there have been cars that i have built trying to break them with no success so hopefully this will be one of them (tho like i said before i already broke something... the mounts) but so far so good... this is like a game for me... i build them... then drive them to destruction... sometimes they break other times they keep on going... now im not saying im just gonna keep upping the boost and running her hard expecting something to blow up lol... im doing it with in limets just a lil at a time keeping an eye and ear on things... if i notice something going wrong ill stop right there check her out make sure everythings a ok then back something up (ie boost or timeing ect..) and test her again till im happy with the power/reliability of the setup.. im aiming for a good ballance between the 2.
