My 2010 SHO just crossed into the 70,000 mile territory in 20 months. That’s 3,500 miles per month for those scoring at home. I’ve had the 4+ tune on it since it came out and have run a tune for the past 35,000 miles. Only maintenance items have been regular oil changes (synthetic) and new tires (Continental DWS) at the dealer. And I’ve only run it on 93 octane (usually Shell V Power).

At his point I’m curious how many “high milage” SHO’s are out there and what the experience has been. Any major issues? Of course the car isn’t perfect. However, I went back and looked at the records on my old BMW 7 series, and was shocked at how much I had spent on repairs that were out of warranty with that car. I have to say, this is screwed together much better than I thought it would be. And I haven’t had any issues with the electronics that I thought I would have.

Sound off if you are a “high milage” SHO!

My 2012 (had it since August of 2011), tripped 10,600 miles today. Only issue is the computer chip that died last month, taking out the engine cooling fan.

I know this is just for gen4 people, but they never follow the rules, so I won't either

The chassis on my car has 252k, but the motor is at 107k, trans is about 20k under that. Dang thing runs like a champ.

Since we are breaking the rules might as well break them the right way.
I have 110k on my '94, not sure on the Transmisison...Joe any idea?
My '06 Stratus on the other hand, has over 130k on it.

Your '94 is just getting broken in. When I did my 3.2 swap on my '94 It had just turned over 170K. Still ran great, I just wanted a 3.2.

Now hopefully my rebuilt 3.2 will last another 17 years and 170K miles.

88 wagon chassis. Had 193k on 88 digital speedo Then when I put a gen2 digital in when I did the showagon conversion, said 125k. Now it sits about 132k. So about 200k on chassis. The motor had 145k before showagon swap, so it had about 152k. I'm doing an absolute total rebuild so its back down to 0. Transmission unknown. Came from junkyard and was taken apart and welded diff put back in. Since rebuild, about 3k miles.

Since my digital dash says 132k, it has 132k! Wish I knew a was to reset to 0. Jelloslug chime in, you the digital dash king, no a way to reset it to 0?

My 2010 is just under 30K. Glad to hear your at 70K running a tune with no issues. I am still on stage 2, am waiting to load 4 for some tracks to open up:)

Love the high mileage early SHOs. Always wanted one but it just never happened.

'10 with 35K on her. Getting the trans TSB done this week but I love this car. TSB's don't bother me on a new vehicle. Had the brakes one done and they have been perfect ever since. Not for nuthin' but in 35K mile, this car is AVERAGING 20.5MPG. Remarkable for a car this size with this performance.

57721 2011 SHO. I bought it used with 36k back in September. Nothing but front brakes, rear brakes(optional I wanted ceramic), cabin filter, air filter and regular oil changes/tire rotations.

Can you elaborate on what work you have had performed out of warranty?

Mine has 30K miles. I've had the front brake TSB done, work on the BLISS, AM seat bottom and tail lights (and front emblem) replaced due to flaking. My 3/36 expires this fall.
