My sho has been sitting for maybe 2 years, its starts up and such but i havent had it running for a long period of time, im just going to change the radiator fluid, flush it out, get it running and let it run for a while, change the oil, and fuel filter and such, i know these motors build up alot with sludge, what do you guys do to prevent it?

How often did you let it run when you did start it up? When was the last time you started it? Two very important questions that need to be addressed before you run it. When a car has been sitting for a long period of time, you need to exercise care on its first run. You should change the oil and flush the coolant system, but remember if it's been sitting for a long period to not rev the engine at all for a period of time after it starts up. This will allow the engine to oil itself. You may find that your brakes will need to be changed as well as they tend to rust in place when sitting for long periods of time. You might want to jack the front end of the car up and turn the drive wheel just to make sure nothing is bound up inside before you actually turn the car on.
