whatever this thing is called I can't figure out how to get it in, for some reason it was missing when I bought my car.

What kevinspann said.
The shade fits inside a halo.
Put the glass in the vent position.
Remove 3 small phillips screws from the front of the halo.
Remove 4 phillips bolts at each side corner of the glass.
Remove the glass and install the shade from the exterior.
Be firm with the fasteners as they may be tight and the heads are easily stripped.

If my shade is jammed inside its track, would i be able to remove it and put it back onto the track using the above mentioned method? A glass guy at my works body shop said the headliner had to be dropped and he would do it for 100 cash. Unlike most SHO owners, i dont care about the cash but i do not want to drop the headliner. Most of the time when people do this, they get grease all over the damn headliner and they are not always easy to clean.

its really not hard at all to do, don't be intimidated, plus u don't have to remove headliner as previously stated.....

just use an impact driver or something to get the screws loose that hold the glass on.... once u get those loose, everything else is such a piece of cake, you won't believe it

I got it apart fine but putting back together I'm confused becuase when you put the cover in it blocks access to the 3 screws on the halo, so I'm not sure how to get those in. I have the cover sitting inside the halo, I beleive this is correct but I didn't take it apart so I don't know how it was. if that makes sense

nevermind the shade was just hooked on the halo and they were moving together which isn't supposed to happen.

Nope...someone replaced the shade in my friend's 92 and guess what...the shad moves with the glass all the time, and we have no idea how to fix that.

Glad you got it in.
