My 93 sho is sounding like a dying ricer. But I don't think there is any holes in the exhaust. I believe the noise is coming somewhere from under the engine. So my question is does this sound like it could be the exhaust manifold? I have no idea how much that would cost and would like any advice.

When I installed my performance plus y-pipe I had a problem fromtightening the rear of the y-pipe to the flex pipe with the springs on it. Tightening too much caused a lack of flex and the bolts somehow went through the ****** and pushed the 2 pipes apart creating a not so pleasant leaky exhaust sound.

Last summer the flex pipe blew apart on my car, and she sounded like the queen of all ricers. It started as a small split on the bottom (barely noticeable without jacking up the car) and 150 miles later (rest of the trip home) it was the entire bottom of the flex pipe!

My exhaust broke open last summer on the way to Kirk Doucette`s house. It was the loudest, most embarassing toll booth stops i`ve ever had in my life.Nine hours of open exhaust sucked. :D
