So this is my ******** thread of having a problematic day:

Start out at my alignment appt, Passenger lower ball joint bad. Did that in about 90mins or less tonight with Joe.

Went to my exhaust appt, and the rear half of the exhaust is too rusted to weld new mufflers on. It has a dynomax rear half, and I don't really want to spend the 340 bucks for the whole system when all I really want is just the rear half up to the mufflers, so I left it be for now.

Drove to the junk yard and had some fun there, and got a couple of things, and Joe got his new football for his '96.

So oh the way home I get into corner that had some good bumps (lowered car and highways in MN do NOT mix very well), and lost my EATC and blinkers. Replaced the fuse (#5) and again it goes out. EATC was working it would only blow super hot air. I found a thread on here about a harness getting shorted out by the clutch cable on the engine side of the firewall which I will check tomorrow after I get home tomorrow night.

I guess it just seemed like a "now what day"

So if anybody has suggestions for the exhaust w/o going down to the 2 1/4 in factory one let me know.

If anybody else has input on the #5 fuse I would love to hear it. I hope the super hot air is just a wire rubbing because I don't want to spending 100's of hours on this, I would like to drive the car 600 miles in the next week and a half.

Thanks all for for listening (well reading but you get my drift).

Find an old guy who knows how to gas weld, and use a peice of coat hangar. :) I had a 'too rusty' y pipe fixed that way before.. It's pretty high strength steel in those hangars. Just know it won't last forever... a year or two and it'll be time again.

Dynomax exhausts can be bought piece by piece any parts house that sells Walker exhausts. The rear "Y" is P/N 44385.

OK so I threw a high amp fuse in there and looked under the hood while I had someone else play with the EATC, as soon as they hit Max A/C the wires going to the clutch started to spark at the connector....tightened the connector and its all good now. Yay one issue fixed!

Sounds some of my days. Recommend putting in proper size fuse. Don't want your next post being your car doing it's impersonation of a charcoal grill. Maurice

its kind of a long drive, but there's a muffler shop here in Rochester that might be able to do it cheap.

Place in Forest Lake is doing it. Very inexpensive and does very good work. He is doing 2 new mufflers so all in all lots cheaper than a full dynomax

John at forest lake muffler is an awesome guy. He's done all of mine and my brothers exhaust woek for quite a few years. There's a reason I drive 50 miles up there. The 96 will be in soon too.
